Happy New Year! We are so excited to see our newly engaged as well as those who are finally planning for their 2019 event! We can't wait to see what the new year brings us and to help with many more amazing weddings. We wanted to bring you a post with our favorite new trends in case you’re looking for a place to start planning out your wedding experience. Some of these really stood out to us here, so we wanted to pass along these NEW and amazing trends to hopefully make your wedding stand out from those in the past years.
2018 brought us smaller wedding parties, fun after parties, moody colors, and guest experiences. While all those trends are yet to be discarded, this year will bring us even more ideas for that wow-factor wedding, so lets check them out!
Smoke Bombs

We personally could not be more thrilled for more smoke bombs. Smoke bomb exits are the next big thing to replace (or even complement!) your sparkler send off. Your guests will love the fun atmosphere and it will make for some ah-mazing photos!
Creative Balloon Installations

Move over flower wall, balloons aren’t just for kid’s birthday parties anymore. We predict creative balloon installations will be a big thing at weddings in 2019. Not only are balloons inexpensive, but balloon walls can also be a fun DIY project and provide a great pop (ha!) of color at your ceremony or reception.
Bold Colors & Textures

While moody colors made an emergence in 2018, this year we expect to see more bold colors in couples wedding color palettes. As couples move away from "matchy-matchy" strict, color schemes and focus more on mixing and matching different personalized elements, we should see a wider variety of bold colors, patterns, and textures.
Organic Grasses

We are loving this organic, soft floral add-in! Pampas grass, wheat and other grasses have been making their debut lately and we cannot be more excited. Used in ceremony arches, aisle installations, bouquets, and centerpieces, the grasses are relatively inexpensive in comparison to other flowers which also allows for larger installations for a big wow factor.
Velvet Linens

Experts are predicting that velvet will be making a comeback in reception décor throughout the seasons this year, providing a warm and cozy atmosphere. Different tones of velvet are now available through specialty linen companies and provide a soft, bold alternative to traditional linens.
Personalized Elements & Décor

In general weddings will feel more personalized and natural this year with special elements specific to the couple’s interests and occupations. Creative seating chart displays, wedding favors, and signature cocktails will all reflect the couple’s individuality. Any opportunity to personalize the wedding, especially with signage, will be taken advantage of. (Psst! Check out our custom acrylic signs here so we can help you create a one of a kind personalized wedding experience. 😉)
So there you have it! Our favorite new trends. We are so excited for the new year and can’t wait to see what our couple’s 2019 weddings will be like this year!
